Orchid

Pattern: Orchid Scarf by Anne Hanson
Yarn: Handmaiden SeaSilk in Straw
Needles: US sz 6

I had the chance to test knit this pattern for Anne and I'll say now what I said before...it's a great pattern! I think it would be a very nice pattern for a new lace knitter, but is still pleasurable for an experienced lace knitter, too. The yarn was luscious and it blocks beautifully. This was my first time grafting lace - it wasn't hard, just slow.

Thank you, Anne, for another really lovely knit!

This is a gorgeous scarf. I love knitting lace and have wanted to try the SeaSilk but it's not in the budget at the moment!

I have come back to look at this scarf a number of time. I've gone to Anne's site and looked at the pattern, and if I were to knit it, I would use the same yarn you used. I just love the way the light plays off the yarn. I am not the greatest lace knitter,a nd that is why I would choose this pattern. It looks like one I might have some success with, and it's pretty to boot.
