Outfitted Well

Someone is going to be a well-dressed baby in a few months. The only problem is that she's not born yet.

Remember me?

OK, so I've been gone a while. It wasn't really on purpose - I was out of town and have been very busy knitting! Here's what I've been doing since my last entry.

Another pair of worsted socks for my aunt, done in Schaefer Lola:

A pair of RPM's for my aunt in Cherry Tree Hill, colorway "Martha's Vineyard":

The last pair of socks for my aunt, in Sea Wool (which I LOVE and will make it very painful for me to mail these off)...this is the Sedona Sock pattern:

Then I also finished the Waving Lace socks for Greg's aunt, done in Mountain Colors Bearfoot:

I managed to finish my Chevron Scarf, done in Socks That Rock (Tiger's Eye and Space Dust)...I couldn't get a picture of me actually wearing it, so you'll have to just imagine that:

Finally, I decided to knit myself a hat with the Tasmanian alpaca I received from Amanda...so here is Le Slouch:

I will leave you with a few pics of little people...first, trick or treating at the zoo (Ethan was a bat, Natalie was a cat):

Natalie lost her 3rd tooth this weekend:

And Ethan is still a silly goose:

P.S. I apologize for the lack of links today...if you have any questions about patterns or where to find them, just leave me a comment.

New Year, New Projects

Despite spending some time at the Frog Pond yesterday (for you non-knitters this means that I decided to rip out some projects...as in, completely unravel them - hence, "rip it"...sounds like "ribbit"...which leads us to Frog Pond), I have been busy knitting. First up is a hat I knit while we were in Charlotte before Christmas:

Pattern: Alison's Beginners Hat
Yarn: Magallanes by Araucania

Probably not colors that most people would like, but I think it's very sunny and happy and I like it. I suppose that's all that really matters.

Over Christmas, I knit the first of a pair of socks for my mom...presenting Rowena:

Pattern: Elongated Corded Rib from Sensational Knitted Socks
Yarn: Lorna's Laces Shepard Sock Nearly Solid in Navy

I really like this yarn - the nearly solids. I've read blog posts about it, singing its praises - I will definitely use it again.

I've also started (re-started, actually - first attempt with different pattern was not up to par) a gift sock:

Pattern: Cable Twist Socks
Yarn: KnitPicks Essential in Pine

I really like this pattern - easy to remember and looks nice. As of this morning, I'm almost finished with the heel flap.

And finally, just a teaser for another project I'm working on:
