I used some of my birthday money to buy a spindle kit. It's a stone/double whorl spindle. I had a little fun this morning!
Now I understand why they call a spinner's early attempts "designer yarn."

I'm Back
Hey. Remember me? I'm back! And I have pictures! We had a lovely Thanksgiving in Illinois. Unfortunately, bad weather hit and delayed our return by a few days. Thankfully, everyone was safe and sound and we made it home eventually.
I made my way to a nearby lys while I was back home. Here's what I got:
My first Koigu!
Claudia Handpainted (I have 2 skeins, but one is currently in time-out)
and 1375 yards of Skacel merino laceweight!
I also have some finished objects. My very first mitten (for Natalie)...done in Reggio Exclusive sock yarn:
And Scribble Lace! (Rowan Kidsilk Haze and Berroco Hip Hop)
I also have a new WIP...My So-Called Scarf done in Patons SWS (soy/wool blend):
And last, but not least, I had a birthday present from my favorite Borg! (and yes, I know it's upside down) Thanks, 1 of 2! ;)
It's good to be home!
