Finally, I can do the big reveal on this project - a feather & fan baby blanket for my friend Roberta, who desperately needs to re-start her blog...hint hint. It went pretty fast, as blankets go and the feather & fan pattern is easy to memorize. I love it because you get a lot of bang for your buck with it - looks far more complicated than it is.
Pattern: I used an Ann Norling pattern, but it is simply feather & fan with a garter stitch border
Yarn: Bamboozle by Crystal Palace, in Limeade
Needles: US sz 9 Addi Turbos

Wow, Julie, that is gorgeous. I just listened to CraftBorg for the first time and thought I'd come check out your blanket. How much yarn did you end up using? I have a friend having twin girls soon and have 2 blankets I need to make- this would be perfect!
Thanks Tandi - was going to email you but couldn't find an email address on your blog or profile! I think I ended up using 7 balls of Bamboozle. I bought 10 and was able to return 3 for store credit at my lys. It really is a nice yarn - I machine washed it before mailing it off and it came out beautifully!
Julie, it's beautiful! : )
it's BEAUTIFUL Julie! I know Roberta will adore it!! And hopefully you'll nudge her back into blogging. :+)
So pretty! I love love love the color you've chosen. Congrats on all the recent finishes!
If you think it's pretty, you should snuggle it - the yarn is simply fabulous, and the stitches stunning. Thanks again, Julie - it's in the bag for when the time comes, and matches her cardi and hat (of STR, of all things!) perfectly! :)
I was thrilled to see your Bamboozle project! First one I've seen on the Web so far - I'm going to link to it from our CPY blog - thanks for sharing!
